eBay Childhood wishes can come true … with this wonderful, original composition, EFFANBEE gift set of large, 20" long, twin toddler, "MICKEY" "MICKIE" and "JANIE" dolls with flirty eyes as advertised and shown in last book photo c1946 (Toys & Novelties, Oct. 1946). Also often referred to as "Sweetie Pie", "Baby Bright Eyes" or "Mickey & Katie" (see pages 209-211, "Collector's Encyclopedia of American Composition Dolls" and pages 201-2 "Collector's Encyclopedia of American Composition Dolls", Volume 2 by Ursula Mertz). Both large size dolls have original composition heads that turn on original cloth bodies with full composition arms and lower legs with joints at shoulders and hips. Both are clearly marked on their necks in raised letters: EFFANBEE and have their original fabulous, dark brown, curly, caracul wigs in perfect condition. They wear their original, adorable, tan wool two-piece suits with darker cuffs and collars and fitted belts at the back and matching caps (hers with ribbon ties & his with visor) and original socks and brown leatherette shoes with ties. They are contained in their original heavy cardboard trunk with hinges and latch, lid ties and the original insert that holds their extra outfits (as shown in book illustrations). Both have wonderful sleep and flirty, clear blue eyes, perfect sable hair eyelashes, brows, closed mouths, excellent cheek blush and pink finger nails. Mickey's composition is excellent and Janie's is good except for some craze cracks on forehead and cheek and a small split behind one ear. Their adorable outfits have no holes or tears, no stains or fading, no damages or repairs and no odors as they come from a smoke free home. Their extra outfits have never been worn and are in excellent condition as is the trunk and insert tray which measures: 19 1/2" x 12 1/2" x 8 1/2" deep and has only slight wear.
